Closure of the border would make Afghans their enemies: JUI-F

LANDIKOTAL: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam(Fazl) central leader Mufti Kifayatullah on Monday said that due wrong foreign policies of Pakistan they are going to make Afghanistan another hard core enemy on thr Western border.

Mufti Kifayatullah was speaking at a press conference held here in Landikotal press club said that closure of the Pak-Afghan border was the out come of poor foreign policies. He said closure of the border with Afghanistan was not the permanent solution.He said the closure only deprived thousands of daily wagers from their jobs.
“We fought many wars with India in the past but the government did not closed border which was a good decision”, Kifayatullah said.He added that 9500 loaded containers were waiting in Karachi to transport different kinds of commodities to Afghanistan and central Asian countries.
He said it was not possible to change natural existance of neighbors but to deal them with realistic friendly relations.
Regarding the Kashmir dispute Mufti Kifayatullah said situation on Line of Control was inter connected with the peaceful resolution of Kashmir independence.
“The out come of the current situation on the Pak-Afghan would means to make Afghanistan our hard core enemy”, Kifatullah said.
He said closing borders with neighboring countries was a question mark on the Pakistani gorvernment.
He said JUI-F was not an effective party in Pakistan but Afghan citizens also consider Maulana Fazl Rehman as international leader.
To a question, he said that JUI-F  leader Maunala Fazl Rehman met Afghan ambassador doctor  Umar Zakhelwal and would help resolve the border issue soon.
 He said it was imposible to cut off Afghans and Pakistani citizens by closing the border.
He said a large number of Afghans wed with Pakistani women and vice versa. He said peace in Afghanistan was inevitable for peace in Pakistan.
Mufti Kifayatullah said JUI-F  chief has interviened into the border matter and soon the border would be reopened.
Meanwhile, a score of drivers and their crew members of loaded trucks staged a protest demonstration at Torkham border. They chanted slogans for reopening of the border. Talking to reporters they said that their trucks loaded eith fresh vegetables and fruits were stranded for the last three weeks. He said most of the vegetables and fruits perished and the rest were also getting rottened.
